There is a good chance that you guessed that the author might be related to me based on the last name. Well, it’s my mom 😅.
Of course, it gets 5 stars—what did you expect?
During the COVID pandemic, she started working on this book, and I was along for the ride —reading and giving feedback.
The book brings together multiple short stories, organized more or less in chronological order. They represent parts of her life where you’ll meet her grandparents, aunts, parents, friends, and work colleagues—all of those who made a major impact on her life and stayed with her even after so many years.
It’s a pleasant read where you get to experience—or at least get a glimpse inside the life of a child from back then until becomes a grown-up. All of this is told through the memories that remained the strongest in her mind. Even for me, there were a lot of new things I wasn’t aware of, getting to discover them while reading the draft for the book.
