In other words, isn't it more "eccentric" in all sorts of aspects, in relation to what would be an average or a relative European normality? The extravagant way in which the political psychodrama unfolded in the summer of 2012 left the impression that the country is defective. Of course, those who watch from the outside are more impressed than Romanians, who are somewhat used to themselves, but even among Romanians exasperation is growing. Something is wrong in Romania, and not just at the top, in the political class, and not just from yesterday, the day before yesterday. Could it be a curse? No, it's just history.
